Current Wood Pellet Prices in Austria: Monthly Trends and Comparisons to other Fuels

Since 2006, proPellets Austria has been consistently compiling wood pellet prices on a monthly basis. Our comprehensive survey includes more than 70% of the traded pellet quantities from a network of more than 50 pellet dealers. This makes our data a reliable barometer for understanding market price trends and developments in the wood pellet industry.

Survey methodology

proPellets Austria has collected pellet price data monthly since 2006. The survey covers more than 50 pellet suppliers, accounting for over 70% of the volume of pellets traded, and provides a reliable indicator of market price trends. After excluding the two lowest and the two highest prices, the average price is calculated from the remaining prices.

Prices are recorded as of the first day of each month. To avoid influencing the market, the results are published with a delay, on the 15th of the month.
