Pellet quality and Enplus
The ENplus certificate with its strict requirements stands for excellent pellet quality. For the first time the whole supply chain is covered by a single certification system. The same high quality of ENplus pellets is available in 41 countries worldwide.
About ENplus
The ENplus certification label is a quality seal that accounts for the whole wood pellet supply chain – from production to delivery to the final customer, therefore ensuring high quality as well as transparency. Companies displaying the ENplus quality label are regularly inspected by independent experts and have to comply with extensive quality guidelines.
Since wood pellets of otherwise flawless quality can show quality defects due to improper storage or delivery in inappropriate vehicles, the ENplus system certifies not only the production of wood pellet production but the wood pellet delivery as well. This means that a pellet dealer who buys ENplus wood pellets from a certified producer may only sell those pellets as ENplus wood pellets if he is certified as well.
There's a continuously updated list of ENplus-certified wood pellet producers and ENplus-certified wood pellet dealers in Austria available on the ENplus website. You can also find the detailed requirements for certified companies on this page.
About 90 % of the wood pellet production in Austria are ENplus certified.
Certification Seal
Every Certified Producer and every Certified Trader has a unique Certification Seal which consists of the ENplus Logo and a unique ENplus ID. Producers, traders or service providers (whether certified or not) are prohibited from using the logo without the ID.
Identification Number
Each of the Quality Classes has a unique quality logo that shall only be used in combination with the Certification Seal. The combination of the Quality Logo and the Certification Seal is named the Quality Seal. The Quality Seal shall be displayed on the label of bagged pellets. The Quality Seal may be used for marketing purposes related to the product of the respective quality class.
